Centennial Park Walk

CENTENNIAL PARK (SHORT) LOOP WALK
Distance
3.5 km Steps 6000
Time >1 hour Level of Difficulty Easy

Centennial Park is a popular playground and public space slap bang in the middle of the city of Sydney.

The park is part of the greater Centennial Parklands which includes Queen’s Park, Moore Park and the ‘Entertainment Precinct’, and occupies a whopping 360 hectares all told.

The Walk

The path for this short walk is well-defined so you’d be hard-pressed to lose your way. You may want to wander off it at various points though, because there are many things to see and do in Centennial Park beyond this circular route.

You can extend this walk by venturing outside the park gates and doing a loop around Queens Park which will add another 3000 steps or so.

Alternative Routes

If you’ve got all day, the best route is perhaps the one you make yourself by just wandering and exploring.

But if you’re not keen on strolling aimlessly and would like to add a little structure to your walk, you could try one of Centennial Park’s self-guided walking tours.

The Wildlife and Heritage tour can be downloaded as a PDF here  or you could take a nature or history themed walk using the izitour app
