Government House Gardens

Government House sits on the edge of the Botanic Gardens with the Opera House at its back door.

The gardens of Government House are beautiful and well worth visiting. The centrepiece of the gardens is a magnificent Moreton Bay Fig, planted at around the time the house was built and now over 170 years old.

The gardens open from 10:00am till 4:00pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and you can get a peak at the State Rooms of the House by joining one of the tours which run every 30 minutes.
